My reading in the book of Hebrew

It had been a while since i read the book of Hebrew again. . The summary according to the NIV bible shows that the letter is written to the Jewish Christians who wanted to turn back to Judaism. These are some of my thoughts when reading the whole book.

1) What is the "New" Covenant?
- The "New" is in Jesus Christ the atonement for sin & forgiveness. Who replaces the obsolete (Heb 8:13) covenant of sacrificing burned offering to atone for sin & forgiveness.

2) Is forgiveness from God once and for all since we are in the "New" Covenant?
- Interestingly, atonement of sin and forgiveness is only done once. Hebrew 10 talks about Christ's Sacrifice. " The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming - not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, be the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near t0 worship. If it(The Law) could, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all , and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins.
BUT Christ said (Heb 10:17 " Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."

3) Why are we remembering our sins and living like defeated Christians?
- I personally think that the act of asking for forgiveness every Sunday in church is affecting the mind.
- Thinking that if we don't pray for forgiveness, bad things will happen in our lives due to sin?
- 1 John 1:9. (Please read the whole passage properly. It is written to people who do not believe that Sin is real in the world.)
- Maybe we cannot come to term that forgiveness of God is so simple?

Before we go back to the way which Satan hopes we continue, Maybe we should go back to the fundamental of our faith. Look & think back about Jesus Christ our Lord the sacrificial lamb on the cross. How many times does Jesus have to die on the cross for me?
